General

Seasons

A full seasonal cycle within the CorsiaVerse consists of a period of 730 days. Each season typically spans on average 180 days in length depending on the timing of seasonal winds. Although different cultures regard the divisions of the entire 730 days based on seasons or the alignment of the moon, it is commonly accepted to be a period divided into two years, one 'year of sunlight' (Spring and Summer), and one 'year of frost' (Autumn and Winter).

Central Semihemisphere Nations | Althyne Calendar

For the Myridian, eastern Marthellian, and western Hussvarian nations, each year is divided into 12 months with a period of 30 days in each. The remaining 10 days is considered a period of celebration which many scholars associated with the end of frost festivals of the ancient Rythian who occupied or influenced these territories. Evidence also suggests that the Rythians may have been influenced by practices of nomadic sea farers who would spend the first month of the new season on land with welcoming cultures to avoid monsoons that coincided with harvest festivals such as the Rathsonian feast of flowers.
